The Power of Self Separation

                                                    New Self Separation
We all have a need to feel comfortable and secure,we are always looking for those who
will accept our needs as a standard that they can support without reservation .Once we find this environment it will be imposable for us to reject them. We know that will they will fight for our position and we will find ourselves fighting for them. Nothing was said, no contract was written just a look and a nod is all that is needed.
This is how Self Separation starts, before we realize that we are now committed to a new relationship. A basic part of our life has now expanded, we do not even notice or understand when it starts to take root our relationships. Now our standards will start to change, we will be come veritably supportive then fiscally supportive.
Self Separation can be easily observed as an outsider, when  people start to Self Separate, their undeclared unity makes them strong. One has to be very careful when challenging a group that has Self Separated . They will push back as if they here one, this is what makes them strong and dangerous. When we see gangs we are observing Self Separation.
Self Separation dominates the animal kingdom. All of us at one time or another have see tigers and lions in the wild gathered around their cubs, they are practicing Self Separation, if any unattached tiger or lion is passing by; they had better maintain a safe distance from the group or  they should be prepared to fight to the death.

This group has simple enforceable rules, the lions gather food for the group and the tiger provides protection for the lions as the gather food and he protects the cubs while they are hunting for food. They are very proud of their association with the group and are referred to as the “pride”. The tiger is the leader and protector, lions support his position and feed him. They work together for survival one of them cannot achieve all the objectives alone. They live and will die for each other. This is the ultimate level of Self Separation.
Gangs have a similar group understanding ;they have a leader who controls the followers, the followers will never question the leader, they will only take orders from one person  and will never even think of challenge him. The leader controls everything, similar to tigers and lions they  have a turf that they will defend with their lives. The followers know their place and the first time they accept the consequences non compliance. In exchange they can experience what it would be like to be in a family. They now have an authority figure similar to the farther in a family, with the same rules,do what he says or there will be a punishment. They also members that they may consider to be similar to a brother or sister. Even a member who will protect them from the leader, similar to a mother. They have created family that they belong to.
The most common way that we Self Separate today in the civilized world is over an issue that will cause us to become uncivilized. People who would not even give each other the time of day will become fast an strong friends and even partners over an issue. They will bend and twist facts to support a position that has risen to a scarred desire for success. Even when they know that they are lying only enhances their desire to prevail over an opposing position. This desire can rise to the level of name calling or even physical attacks. Winning is everything, when we prevail over those who have now become our enemies, we start that we now have power to force others to our side when another issue arrises. Others will joins us not necessarily because they believe that we are right on a particular issue. They can’t even explain what the issue is. Most don’t even care which side of the issue is victorious, they just want to be a member of the popular side. Look at our political parties ask any member why they are a Democrat and why
they  dislike Republicans or the other way around. They will not be able to give you a definite statement. They will only be able to recite clichés that they have herd. They have Self Separated on an issue, they now have new friends and new enemies. Their world has changed because of an issue.
Our need to be Popular can direct our desire not to Self Separate or conversely enhance our desire to Self Separate. We have a natural desire to be part of a group, we need the acceptance the protection and the warmth and validation of our thoughts, feelings even our existence that the group offers and certifies as correct. We have a strong desire not to be alone. When a child is bad the first thing that we do to correct the negative behavior is to isolate the child, we will tell the child to “stand in the  coroner of the room ,face the wall and don,t talk”.
This action is considered a punishment that is designed to encourage a specific behavior. We at the moment we never consider the consequences, only the excitement of the moment. Everyone in the class is looking at me, I am a star. We are getting special attention, this is wonderful everybody body now knows me and my name.  have to respect authority especially when applied without the use of force. We are demonstrating that we are civilized we comply with laws and authority and we accept the consequences for non compliance pastedGraphic.png

NO ONE WANTS TO BE IN THIS POSITION
We have isolated the child, the child cannot do what he wants to do.The real punishment is isolation, the child is no longer allowed to socialize at will  the child will start to understand what is required to be a member of a group. The child is now mentally and physical rejected from any and all groups. The other children in the room are just so glad that they are not that person. A strong social lesson has just been taught by the teacher; that all will remember. We need the group more than the group needs us.  When we are denied the right to Self Separate, a right that is considered a birth right, this becomes a punishment that we will not forget.
Today we have a new standard that identifies The Power of Self Separation, some seek attention by being socially disruptive. They will do anything that will get them media attention. Breaking the law is the most common way to get the immediate attention of the media, they can be a star, everyone will notice them as they are arrested for breaking the law. Self Separation accuses as others observe what they have done and attempt to mimic them, they have not considered the cost to their future, they only want to be like them, they want to act the same way regardless of the cost.
